After Daniele's concert, I bussed to the club. The only crew was Norm and me. It started to shower just before the race. Winds were light. Some were saying there was possibility of a storm and high wind warnings. I did not see any.
Norm and I decided to not go and Peter gave me a lift home.
Audrey reported that winds were less than 4 knots and variable. Race cancelled.

GNS 1 R2
I biked in and helped Norm install the genny on Redline
Rod and Norm came at 5PM and we motored out in very light winds, not sure if there will be a race.
We towed Peter on RSL 5 to the race area and waited as the fleet assembled. Winds came up and we had a great race. Came in 8th out of 14. Norm helmed.
The wind died on the way back, the wind died and when we tried to start the engine, it did not turn over. Turned out to be a broken crimp on the starter solenoid. Shorted it and motored back to the club. They did not have enough sandwiches so Norm and I went to Scores for Gourmet chicken burgers.
I fixed the broken crimp and slept aboard and did some work including a valve lash on Bellum.
Biked back and had lunch at 77 Sunset with Shana.

GNS 2 Race 1 with Chris, just Chris
Nice wind for an evening race.
Mary and Jimmy could not come.
It was just Chris and me. We came in second. Good helming by AW.

Sailing with Chris and Philippe
I had no crew and weather was nice. Invited Chris. Philippe was on the lawn looking for a boat to crew on.
We motored out to the gut and set sail to the racing area for a practice warm-up race.
Winds picked up just in time for the race.
We raced well. Winds were shifty before the start but stabilized to the east.
Chris naturally took the helm and would not give it up.
After the race, we lost the radar reflector, which we recovered under engine power.
Chris and I went to Ye Old Orchard to meet up with the Park Med group.
