Four girls and a guy

We declined racing and went out sailing with Daniele, Brigitte, Andre and Dominique


We washed the boat and fueled up with 52 liters and pumped out.

Winds were light so we went to swim at the Sandbars.  Wind then picked up and we sailed to Dowkers and had a nice BBQ.

Came back in the sunset.  Winds were dead so we motored back.

Temperatures were very hot, in the 30's.

To Brockville aboard Redline

Took off Saturday morning to Brockville aboard the goodship Redline.

Returned Tuesday.

Friday Persuit Race and Raft UP

Daniele, Jimmy, Fiona, Alain and I raced the Friday fun race.

Alain decided to jump aboard for the race.

Our start was 15 minutes.

Winds were very light at the start and picked up about our start so we easily caught up to the early starters.

Then we lost time in the run leg. After about 1 1/2 hour, Alain was asking about what our estimate was to finish the race.  I realized he had to drive downtown to pick up wife, so I abandoned the race and motored back to the harbour.

Daniele wanted to go to our own dock.  I wanted to drop them off at a service dock.  As we entered the harbour, the Star was sailing into too, so I went for the service dock.  I came in a bit fast and hit reverse and halted the boat immediately at the service dock.  Very loud but no contact with the dock.

We came back out and hovered to raft up between Tara II and Regalia tied up to us and joined us for Daniele's pork chops.

Fiona got a lift home with Michel.

The next day I was to help Redlline get to Brockville..

I got up at 6, showered and washed the barrage of bugs from the raft up and hopped aboard Redline, departing about 8 AM

Hugh Kenndy Wednesday Race

After sailing with Vladimir, Daniele, Jimmy and I went to sail the Hugh Kennedy race.

Boat seemed to perform okay, but we came in last again.

Strong strong winds.. 30 knots !

We motored out and came back on a broad reach.

Soulange - Cancelled

Plans to go to Soulange with Jimmy, Norm, Elizabeth is cancelled.

Threat of storm

Friday fun race NOT

There was no winds on Friday afternoon.

Jimmy, Danièle and I decided to go out anyways.  

Race was cancelled so we came back.  

Winds were calm, so I did my first single handed docking.  It was impeccable!

Supper was at the club.  

Saturday was supposed to be Soulange, but we cancelled due to impending storms.

We reorganized the life jacket inventory and the quarter berth, removing the cushion and came home.  Met Jimmy as we were leaving.
