Wind Mill Point race - louisy start abandoned

Jeff, Norm and Chris came together to race the Wind Mill race.

Norm came earlier to help me take down No. 3 and put up the furling No. 2.  Good choice.

Chris came and installed the ikommunicate

The course was from SL 31 to AD28 and Club Finish.

We were practising our tacking and watching for the start sequence at RC.

After some time, we decided to get closer to the race fleet when we noticed that the race had already started.  We sailed up to the start line, tacked and raced from far behind.

We raced to AD 28 and tacked.  It was getting dark and we were probably 5 minutes behind Talisman IV.  I decided to abandon the race and just enjoy a beer on the way back to the club.  There was supposed to be no BBQ so there was no rush.  But when we docked, the staff was walking the dock asking if we were staying for the BBQ.  They had apparently changed their mind about having a BBQ so we left the boat un-closed and had supper.

I decided to sleep aboard
