Hugh Kennedy Race

After a busy week at the office from Sunday to Thursday, I was hesitant about going to the club due to the light wind forecast.

I delivered my accounting to the accountant by bike, visited Rachel for tea and then biked to the club arriving 5:20, prepared the boat without taking off the sail cover - not expecting winds.

Norm and Maud joined us and apparently, there was a skippers meeting with Chaos, Espresso and Bellum.  Jack Rabbit start, 31 33 starboard, gut AS15 but that was changed to 42, 32, gut, AS15 while underway due to changing wind conditions.

The winds really picked, we didn't do a great start, but at least we were starboard at the start.  Light pelleting rain came in as we were beating into the channel.  Seemed Norm go the worst of it at the helm and wearing glasses.

We were third and had supper inside the clubhouse with Pierre at the other table.

Winds seem stronger than what Sailflow recorded

We raced well, great competition
